It'sovely to read, but can I ask where are you in the world? I'm confused by tomatoes and sweet peas in November - you can't be in Scotland, that's for sure!
So beautifully written Jodi. I’ve just been reading The Place of Tides by James Rebanks about his stay with the duck women on a tiny island off Norway. I think you would love it if you haven’t already read it. My main takeaway, the value of observation and stillness, one that has been passed through generations x
How fitting to be reading this on the first day of my cycle, but the first time in a very long while that I have given myself the grace to rest and look for comforts on this particular day in my cycle. This particular one has been a hard one and I think the pain and discomfort was a not so gentle reminder that it’s ok to rest. This newsletter has been a beautiful nudge to learn to look for ways to honour the cycles of my life a bit better - love! 💗
As ever, beautifully written. I can’t get the slaughtering of trees image out of my head. Such a poignant description. Thanks for your wonderful words, Jodi. x
So many cycles exist within and around us , thank you for putting words around this. Such a wonderful read this morning.
I love your thought of planning for a frugal summer. As our crops continue to grow and thankfully we have had some rain so they are growing. The next few months though as they ripen is so hard to wait for harvest but such an important time to be patient and allow the full cycle of growth to happen.
Just what I needed to read 💚
Such beautiful writing & reflections, thanks for sharing 🙏❤️🌻

Tasmania…we’re much later to get a true summer than the rest of Australia but we have rich soil and everything grows in the garden quite abundantly x

Another real reflection of life portrayed with so much imagery so delicately. Well done !
